Joshua Niven was born in Germany and raised in the hills surrounding Charlotte, North Carolina. Joshua graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in photography in 2012. He completed and documented the entire Appalachian Trail on foot in 2013. His work focuses on nature, the surreal and hyperreal. In addition to making artwork, Joshua owns and operates Asheville Fine Art Printing, where he helps reproduce and facilitate other artists’ work. He lives in a one hundred year old cabin in Madison County, North Carolina with his fiance and son, with a perfect view of Firescald Knob on the Appalachian Trail outside his front door.
